Description: A relaxing, meandering ride on back roads through two small towns and a variety of pastoral scenery -- forests, rivers and streams, vineyards, horse farms, orchards, residential areas, and vegetable farms.  Along the way we'll encounter the historic stone houses of Huguenot Street (the oldest continuously occupied street in America), a skydiving ranch, wineries, and even the campus-like printing operation of the Watchtower Society.  Not the most stunning scenery in Ulster County, but rather a constantly changing mix of charming sights.  Lots of nice views of the Shawungunk ridge to the West. Gently rolling hills with just a few short steeper climbs, mostly in the first eight miles.  Shares a few short stretches with traffic, but mostly quiet roads.  Depending on local events, there may be traffic on the last few miles of the ride.  Non-recumbent friends welcome.

Rain Date is June 11th

Starting point:   (map)

The starting point is Huguenot Street Farm (http://www.flyingbeet.com).  It has plentiful parking and running water, but does not have public restrooms (However, a mile into the ride we'll reach Water Street Market, which does). Latecomers will find maps and cue sheets left behind for them in the distribution shelter (wood structure next to the parking area).
